The all new 2013 Mazda CX-5 crossover is innovation at its best. This crossover has incredible fuel efficiency and uncompromised performance. The exterior of this class leading crossover is aggressive and bold. Mazda’s designers manipulated the sheet metal in ways that haven’t been seen before. The centre console is easy to navigate and the black gauges with white lettering are very easy to read. There is a lot of space despite the stature of this car. The 60/40 flip fold seating have a mechanism that lowers the seat bottom before folding the seat back on top to provide a near-flat load floor.

The 2013 Mazda CX-5 offers plenty of options to ensure you are getting the performance you want out of your car. There are 2WD and 4WD options along with automatic and manual transmissions: SKYACTIV-MT 6-speed manual transmission (GX) and SKYACTIV-Drive 6-speed Sport mode automatic transmission (optional on GX; standard on GS,GT). The available trims are the GX, GS and GT.

There is one engine available for 2013:

  • SKYACTIV-G 2.0L inline 4 cyl, DOHC: 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque.

The fuel economy is outstanding as can be expected from Mazda and its crossover option:

  • 2WD 6MT: city 7.8 (30.15) and highway 5.7 (41.26)
  • 2WD 6AT: city 7.7 (30.54) and highway 6.1 (38.55)
  • 4WD: city 8.0 (29.4) and highway 6.4 (36.74)

The 2013 Mazda CX-5 is equipped with the best in safety features: anti-lock brake system with EBFD and brake assist, hill hold assist, curtain and side airbags with rollover sensor, passenger airbag sensor, front seat belt pretensioners, speed sensing power door locks (double action) and optional features are anti-theft alarm and blind spot monitoring system.
